Rebuild 2009 – 4 days to Niagara

by dyoshida on May 11, 2009

We are full tilt on the assembly phase of my lambretta.   Niall has put in tons of overtime to start the assembly of my scoot.  The best thing I can do right now is to keep the painted parts and beer flowing.  Check out he pictures of the progress.  Forks have been assembled, engine mounted, rear hub,  kick stand, wiring loom, head set lower.  Just a few parts left to paint so I’ll be in the painting booth.  My buddy Hon also picked up my ignition from Stony at Oddball Kustoms on the weekend, wow that saves me some time. I’ll get that part today.  Thanks Stony for getting me a 12 volt ignition!

We are on our 2nd pair of paper suit already.  The plastic zippers keep breaking on those things so paint just keeps getting stuck to our skin.  $8 paper suit , you get pay for I guess.  We found a work around solution to stay in budget.  It’s called a garbage bag.  Who took this photo anyways.  Chris is on his way here after getting his Series II on the road today, he sacraficed his new build so that at least 2 rebuilt scooters would make it to Niagara Rally 2009.
